The Press Room at El Requexón today saw Borja Sánchez speak to the media, following the team's latest training session.
The Asturian evaluated the feeling in the squad after the Tenerife victory, saying that "it's been good for our spirits and for our confidence. Wen were looking for it. We competed well and recovered confidence. We needed it."
Regarding the first few weeks of Ziganda's tenure, the attacker highlighted that "he's just arrived and is getting to know us little by little. He's been speaking to us and has transmitted his confidence to me. We have to be prepared for the minutes we get. It's been a change, and he has new ideas. I wasn't involved in the first match, but I was in the second. We all have to be prepared; we will be important."
Asked about his role on Sunday, Borja Sánchez highlighted that "the other day I came on just behind the striker, but then I changed. You end up looking for solutions to hurt the opponent. We have to take on our role at all times; the team needs us all. It's not easy and you go out there nervous. We have to take on the responsibility; the team needs us. It went well, and we have to keep going like that."
Finally, ahead of Extremadura, the Oviedo-born midfielder said that "we are focused on taking it game by game. They are not 'finals', but we have to be prepared to earn points. It is going to be a battle and a difficult match. We know that the teams have a lot at stake. They've sold a lot of tickets, but we will be backed too. It's another battle, and we will go for it."
