El Requexón today played host to a fixture from the fourth matchday of Grupo II of the Segunda B, which saw Real Oviedo Vetusta face CD Calahorra.

Javi Rozada’s side, who beat Sporting de Gijón last weekend, conceded a goal from a corner inside the first minute this time out. The team struggled for the opening 25 minutes following the goal, with the visitors dominating the ball. As time passed, Real Oviedo Vetusta began to respond and took control of the match and the chances. Steven and Javi Hernández both had good chances to equalise, but the score was still 0-1 at halftime. ‘Los Azules’ pushed forward more in the second half and continued to play the passing football they are known for, as they attempted to break their opponent down. Roberto Alarcón was brought down in the area and awarded a penalty, which Lolo González converted from twelve yards to equalise for ‘Los Carbayones’. The B team continued to attack after the goal, but couldn’t finish their chances. Vetusta ended the game with 10 men after Lucas Ahijado received a red card, but they never stopped trying, and Andoni Ugarte even had one final chance with a header.

The B team added another point to their tally and visit Real Unión de Irún next time out. The match will take place at 16:00 in Saturday.
