Real Oviedo Head Coach Álvaro Cervera appeared in the Press Room this Friday and spoke with the media gathered at El Requexón. The Gaffer began by analysing his side's two consecutive victories and explaining that "the team had been doing what we thought we had to do to win, and now the results are coming with it. There were matches which we won deservedly, and others which we didn't deserve to lose. The feeling is that the team is freer now. We feel different on the ball, while we are maintaining our defensive solidity."

 

Asked about Saturday's fixture against UD Ibiza, Álvaro Cervera commented that "I know their coach well and I am sure that they are going to compete. It will be a very difficult match. Right now we are 10 points above the relegation zone, but a lot of things can still happen. We have to get past the 50-point mark."

 

The season is moving into its crucial run-in now, and the Coach was clear that "I hope we finish the season in the best way possible. Too many things have happened these months, like the injury situation, and it's been annoying."
