The 12th matchday in Group II of the 3ª RFEF division saw Navarro CF face Real Oviedo Vetusta this Sunday morning, with the B team winning 2-0 away from home.
Jaime Álvarez's side lined up at Tabiella with a starting eleven made up of Berto Hórreo; Marc Alegre, Javi Moreno, René Pérez, Marc Alegre; Joselu, Yayo, Mangel, Alex Cardero; Eloy Ordóñez and Pedregal. Los Azules demonstrated their match-winning credentials right from the opening minutes.
Vetusta dominated the first half from start to finish, controlling the possession and carrying the initiative of the match. Pedregal opened the scoring in the thirteenth minute of the encounter. The B team kept hold of the ball well and in the main denied Navarro chances, although the hosts did twice strike the woodwork. Jaime Álvarez's side's first-half performance was built around play through the middle, transitions in play, and crosses in from the by-line.
The match opened up more after the interval, as Vetusta tired from their first-half endeavours. The second-half chances and the play were shared evenly between the two teams. Some fine play by Joselu would eventually see Pedregal make the most of a rebound to double his own and the team's tally. Isaac, Pablo, and Mario Fuente were the first substitutes used, before Nnoshiri and Merayo later entered the fray. The encounter ended with the B team going in search of a third, while dealing comfortably with the Navarro threat.
Jaime Álvarez's side refuse to let their foot off the accelerator and remain top of the table, with excellent performances and results so far this season. The next fixture will see the B team travel away from home once more, when they face Praviano at Santa Catalina.
