It is not just a feeling that the fans are right behind the team this preseason; it is backed up by data. The figures don't lie and there are now more than 13,514 Oviedistas that have shown their backing for Real Oviedo by buying their season ticket.
This year's figures are unlike any others seen since Los Carbayones returned to professional football in 2015/16. At this point that year, Real Oviedo had 14,000 season-ticket holders, and they would finish the campaign with 20,593.
To further demonstrate our fans' renewed excitement, it is worth looking at a comparison with last season. The club did not break the barrier of 13,500 season-ticket holders until the last week of August last year.
