Real Oviedo Vetusta fell to a 2-1 home defeat against Deportivo Fabril in their final match of the season this morning. The B team put in a good opening 30 minutes and took the lead, but, following Victor Egboh's 36th-minute dismissal, the Galicians were able to come back and pick up three important points in their fight for survival.

After an even opening, Real Oviedo's B team began to grow into the encounter and, following some good team play, Miguélez opened the scoring. Despite some good early play by Vetusta, Deportivo Fabril were able to equalise from the penalty spot, with Egboh receiving a yellow card. A minute later, a poor backpass led to Egboh receiving a second yellow card. Marco came on in place of Víctor Blanco and saved the penalty. However, in the 41st minute the visitors made the score 2-1.

The second half did not see too many chances for either side. Fabril dominated possession, while Aguirre's side looked to hold on and then throw everything at the match in the final minutes. One good piece of play from Xavi Sola and Omar Falah ended in Dieguito firing wide, in what was the home team's best opportunity of the second half.

This defeat sees Real Oviedo Vetusta bring an end to a poor season, and they will look to bounce back next year. Los Azules close the campaign on 30 points, in 16th place in the division.
