The Estadio de El Molinón today hosted the clash between Real Oviedo Vetusta and Sporting B, with Emilio Cañedo's side triumphing 1-0 over their local rivals.

The match was a game of two halves, with Los Azules dominating the play in the first half, before producing an impeccable defensive display in the second. Real Oviedo Vetusta claimed three important points against
Sporting B, which allow them to bounce back from some disappointing recent results. The first half saw Vetusta make the most of their superiority in midfield, dominating the match and outplaying their opponent. Vanderson was the scorer for Los Carbayones, as he finished acrobatically from inside the box. Sporting had several chances, but Jaume dealt with them without any problems, and the teams went in for halftime with the score 0-1. The hosts emerged more strongly for the second half and put Emilio Cañedo's team under pressure for several periods of the half. Riki saw a straight red for a challenge on a Sporting B player. Real Oviedo Vetusta had to demonstrate their defensive solidity when down to ten men, as they cut off all of the attacking moves produced by their opponents. Vetusta also had several opportunities to extend their lead during the final minutes.

The B team secured an important victory over Sporting B, which moves them onto thirteen points in the table. Their next match will see them face Ibiza.
