Matchday 24 in Grupo I of the Segunda B saw a vital match for Real Oviedo Vetusta's hopes for the season, as they welcomed bottom of the table Sanse to El Requexón.
A hard-fought match saw Emilio Cañedo's side have to overcome the initial dominance of the visitors. The B team eventually got into the game, though, and broke the deadlock. A long ball from Riki allowed Javi Mier to make it 1-0. Vetusta enjoyed their best spell after the goal, but were unable to extend the lead. Obeng had a chance to make it 2-0, but the visiting keeper tipped it wide for a corner. Vanderson was forced off by injury before the break and replaced by Raúl Prada.
Sanse emerged more strongly for the second half and their drive saw them dominate the half, with Aguilera scoring the equaliser. Amez received a straight red card in the final minutes.
A point felt like scant reward for Cañedo's team. They will have another opportunity to gain three points next weekend in Pontevedra.
