Real Oviedo player Marco Sangalli appeared in the Press Room this morning and spoke about how the team is "now focused on the weekend's match, because it's a very important one. Given that it's at home against a team close to us in the table in Alcorcón, we hope that it will be similar to the last game we played at home in front of our fans against Albacete."
Asked how the team felt upon its return from Vallecas, the Basque midfielder said that "it was positive because we competed and responded well. It's true that we are finding it hard to get away from the relegation
zone, but Saturday's match is key. We have to win it at our home, with our fans."
Regarding the possible touchline ban coming for the Coach, Sangalli reasoned that "obviously the Coach is important, but the day-to-day work is too. He's with us all week for that and he trusts in his staff, and they
will be with us at the weekend. The team is mature enough not to need him there."
In addition, the midfielder showed his conviction that "if we keep going like this then the final balance will end up tipping our way. We've come through a tough run of fixtures and the team is competing. Now we have the
fixtures where we really have to get wins, against teams close to us in the table."
Discussing the signings that arrived in the January transfer window, Sangalli thanked "the club's effort to bring them in. The majority of them are adding a lot, and we have a complete squad."
Finally, regarding his former side and opponent this weekend, the winger argued that "the more games they go unbeaten away from home, the closer they are to losing. With what we have at stake and our fans behind us, we have to get the three points."
