Real Oviedo could not enjoy a happy ending and suffered too harsh a punishment on a very special afternoon at the Carlos Tartiere.

Bolo's first starting eleven saw Obeng and Bastón start together up front, and Alonso Aceves come in at left back as the only new signing to start. The team got forward in the first half but without creating too many clear chances. The crowd was right behind its team, however, with Jesús Martínez and Martín Pelaez seeing their team play at the Tartiere for the first time.

Los Azules emerged for the second half in a different fashion, demonstrating bravery and directness. Bolo was quick to turn to his bench, freshening the whole team up from the midfield forwards. Hugo Rama went close with a powerful effort which the keeper tipped over for a corner. Real Oviedo pushed and three substitutes went close, in Sergi Enrich, Montoro, and Sangalli. Following a straight red card for Sergi Enrich, the Asturians conceded from an added-time set piece, as Andorra picked up a 1-0 victory.

Despite the disappointment, the team received an 'Iceland clap' and were applauded off by the more than 14,000 Oviedistas in attendance, who stuck with their side to the end.
