Today saw a bumper crowd at the Carlos Tartiere for the penultimate fixture of the regular LaLiga Hypermotion season. Real Oviedo were up against FC Andorra in what was a key fixture in the battle for a playoff place, and Luis Carrión opted for a starting eleven made up of Leo Román, Viti, Oier Luengo, Dani Calvo, Pomares, Colombatto, Seoane, Cazorla, Borja Sánchez, Masca and Alemão.

The visitors went into the encounter in need of a victory in order to maintain their slim chances of survival, and provided tough opposition. They controlled the ball during the first half, while Real Oviedo also suffered the misfortune of the loss of Santi Cazorla through injury in the 29th minute. The midfielder was unable to continue and was replaced by Paulino de la Fuente. Following the setback, the Asturians would have the best chance of the first half, with Borja Sánchez grazing the post with a low effort on the half-turn. The final 15 minutes of the first half were more even, and neither Leo Román nor Nicolás Ratti were forced into too much work. The teams went in for half-time with the score 0-0.

Los Carbayones stepped up a gear after the interval, and Masca sent the crowd wild with a fine strike from outside the box immediately after the restart. The Portuguese forward broke the deadlock to give Los Azules the lead. Dubasin and Sebas Moyano entered the fray in the 66th minute to freshen the team up, and Paulino added a second goal shortly afterwards. FC Andorra couldn't deal with a Real Oviedo side pushed on by the Carlos Tartiere crowd, and the Asturians were relentless in their search for a third goal to seal the victory. Paulino de la Fuente beat Nicolás Ratti once more to add the finishing touch to a good performance, in which the only objective was to win.

Real Oviedo moved three points closer to the target today, and thoughts now turn to the encounter with Eibar. Los Carbayones go into the final match of the regular league season with the prospect of participating in the playoffs in their own hands.
