Real Oviedo and Villarreal CF have reached an agreement for the loan of midfielder Thiago Fernández until the end of the season.
The Argentine midfielder was trained as a professional footballer in the youth ranks of Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield, where he completed his development and made the leap to the first team.
Thiago Cruz Fernández (Buenos Aires, April 3, 2004) debuted with the first team of La V Azulada in 2023, quickly establishing himself as an important player in the offensive department. In his 48 matches with the Argentine team, the midfielder scored 6 goals and provided 9 assists, standing out for his quality, good striking ability, and capacity to reach decisive areas.
His progression and performance caught the attention of Villarreal CF, which signed the player as a free agent, integrating him into the dynamics of the first team under the guidance of Marcelino García Toral.
