Ahead of undergoing the physical tests currently being taken by all first-team players, Real Oviedo midfielder Sergio Tejera appeared before the Press at Las Caldas.

With another week of preseason drawing to a close, the midfielder admitted that "we are hungry for the league to get started and can see it getting closer. We are working hard and improving. You can see it week by week."

Asked how he sees the team, the Catalan highlighted that "we have to improve in all areas, but we are creating chances. We are focusing on the positives and we are on the right track." In addition, with respect to the friendlies, Tejera commented that "we know the work we're doing but there's nothing like matches in LaLiga. We are on the right track. At the end of the day we are creating chances and the goals will begin to arrive. You can see each week that our play is becoming more fluid."

Finally, regarding Joselu's injury, Tejera concluded that, "it's a shame. He wanted to carry on, but he had to stop and make sure he's back as soon as possible. We need him."
