Real Oviedo striker Steven Prieto today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.

With preseason progressing, the attacker said that “little by little you start to feel better. I am happy with the work done and want to continue to grow. We are growing into it. There’s a heavy workload, but we are competing well, which is what matters.”

Regarding his first preseason as a first-team player, Steven commented that “it’s another incentive. There is more responsibility, and we have to keep going.”

With respect to the adaptation of the B-team lads into the first-team squad, the forward highlighted that “we are comfortable, calm and supported. They have welcomed us in the best way; with mutual respect. We have to step it up. We have to respond and demonstrate why we’re here. They’ve welcomed us in the best way. We’re all just another player in the squad and we have the same responsibility as the others.”

Finally, discussing the lack of goals so far in preseason, Steven concluded by stating that “it’s still early. Little by little we have to get games under our belts and they’ll start going in. The Coach asks me to do the simple things, using few touches and getting into the box.”
