Real Oviedo claimed a last-gasp victory over Málaga CF thanks to an own goal from the visitors in the final minute. Colombatto had previously given Los Carbayones the lead, in a match in which Real Oviedo's only objective was to get back to winning ways.

Aarón Escandell, Nacho Vidal, Oier Luengo, Dani Calvo, Pomares, Colombatto, Sibo, Cazorla, Hassan, Chaira, and Viñas made up Veljko Paunovic's first Real Oviedo starting eleven. The first half passed without too many chances for either side, as Málaga looked to dominate the play.

 

The second half was a much more open affair, and Real Oviedo grew into the encounter. Chaira went close as his shot across goal struck the post, while the introduction of Paulino, Alemão and Seoane made a difference. In the 74th minute Colombatto fired home a fine half volley, before Dioni equalised in the 85th minute. Just as it seemed that the match would end all-square, Molina turned the ball into his own net, providing Los Azules with the reward for their persistence. The crowd went wild at the Tartiere, with the fans celebrating a crucial victory in the fight for promotion.

 

The team has time to rest now, before preparations begin for the league fixture against SD Eibar.
