Real Oviedo picked up a point from the trip to Ipurúa following a cruel ending, which saw the SD Eibar goalkeeper equalise with a last-minute header. Alemão had given the Asturians the lead in the 64th minute, but Magunagoitia broke the travelling Oviedistas's hearts in the final passage of play of the encounter.

The first half was an even encounter, without clear chances for either side. The two teams fought for control of the ball, but were unable to worry the respective keepers. The majority of the action was in the midfield, and both Escandell and Magunagoitia had very little to do.

The second half, however, began with a crucial passage of play. Just after the interval, Eibar had the best opportunity so far, but were denied by a miraculous save by Aarón Escandell, who kept the scores level. As the minutes ticked by, Real Oviedo started to dominate the match. Paunovic's side demonstrated greater mobility and possession, and finally started to threaten. In the 64th minute they got their reward. Alemão first struck the post, but the following move saw a fine run from Lucas down the wing and Alemão then pounced on the loose ball to open the scoring. It was goal number 14 of the campaign for the Brazilian forward.

With time having now run out, inside the final minute, Eibar managed to find an equaliser, with their goalkeeper glancing a header in from a free kick. The goal was a huge disappointment to the Oviedistas, who saw victory slip away in the cruelest way imaginable.

The next fixture will see Los Azules come up against Racing Club Ferrol at home, with the intention of continuing to pick up points in the fight for promotion.
