After visiting the #CampusRO, Saúl Berjón addressed the members of the Press gathered for his visit.

The Asturian, who is now into the final weeks of the summer holiday, highlighted that “I am enjoying the days I’ve got left at home, disconnecting, and visiting the kids today. It’s necessary to disconnect in order to start the next season with the greatest enthusiasm.”

Regarding the squad for next season, with a great number of players staying on from last season, the local lad acknowledged that “it’s what usually happens. The bulk of the squad normally stays the same. New people will come in and we will help them, and those of us that are here will look to push on.” In addition, regarding the lads from the B-Team that will move up into the first-team squad this year, the Captain reasoned that “if they are moving up, then it’s because they did things right. They need to keep doing the same and keep growing. There are some good footballers in there.”

Lastly, asked how the new season should be approached, Saúl stressed that “the spirits are high. We are conscious that we have to give it everything to be up there. The Coach is staying and we will be with him to death. The fact that we know each other is a benefit for us. We’ll come back with renewed hope, and with the desire to work to achieve the target. We will fight to achieve it right from the beginning of the season,” concluded the Asturian.
