The Press Room at El Requexón today saw Saúl Berjón be presented with the award for October's 'Jugador Cinco Estrellas' Player of the Month.  Key to the Carbayón attack with his forward running and manner of supplying the front men with assists, the local lad was selected by fans of Los Azules, who chose between the five players nominated by the beer company through their Twitter profile, @futbolmahou.
Once the award had been presented, the Captain spoke with the members of the media gathered in the Press Room, saying that "I feel good, and am progressing little by little.  Time will tell if I'll make it for the match."  In addition, regarding the possibility of taking a risk so as to play in this match, the Oviedo-born winger stated that "if I feel good I will play.  I stepped up last year, but I got injured in training.  I would take that risk one hundred more times.  I want to help and contribute.  I can't stand being out."
Asked about the media hype generated around this match, the winger said that "we are focused on on-field matters.  Anything we can't control is for others to handle.  We mustn't worry about off-field matters.  We just have to play and try to win."
With respect to how the team is coming into the Sporting clash, Saúl highlighted that "it's true that we've just lost, but against a recently-relegated side.  They (Huesca) are a great team and it's something that can happen.  This week we face what is our biggest rival in the division and the match is nicer for us.  It's come at a good time."
Regarding the atmosphere he expects to see at the Carlos Tartiere, the Captain said that "the fans will be at their best and hopefully we can perform as well as they do, so that we can get the win.  I want my people to be there and not to let us down.  Here, when we win all Oviedistas win, whether it's against Sporting or against anyone else."
Speaking about the weather forecast for the weekend and the condition of the pitch, the Asturian highlighted that "the groundsmen are working on it.  It's always rained here and we can't use it as an excuse.  We are going to fight for it, no matter how the pitch is."
Finally, from his position as an experienced veteran within the squad, the Oviedo-born player has highlighted the excitement and hunger of the younger players going into this match, commenting that "we have to control them and keep them calm. They are going to live it.  It is their dream and they can't feel pressured.  The people who've come in know what the derby is and
I can see they are aware of it.  They have to stay calm and do as well as possible."
