Real Oviedo midfielder Sergio Tejera today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.
Ahead of Sunday's match against Sporting, the Catalan commented that "I got to understand what the derby means last year and I am hungry to play it. You can tell it's different to the other games and we all feel the atmosphere.  We are focused. They are only three points, but they are special."  In addition, talking about how to explain this Sunday's atmosphere to someone who has never experienced it, Tejera said that "it's a huge derby, similar to the Seville derby.  There is a rivalry and a lot of feeling involved.  You feel it intensely.  The feeling of winning in the Tartiere is spectacular; I remember that well."
With respect to how the team comes into the fixture, the captain highlighted that "we didn't play well in Huesca, but we have to forget about it.  We are coming back home now, doing things well and being strong. On Sunday we will give it everything, more than ever."
Regarding the condition of the pitch, with heavy rain forecast for the weekend, Tejera hopes that "it will be fine, because they are working hard on it."
Finally, asked about the lack of away fans in the stand at the Tartiere this weekend, the captain reasoned that "it doesn't affect us at all.  Our people will be there.  They will back us and support us and it will do us good.  The welcome always shocks you, and they show us their affection.  We have to be at the same level and reward them with the victory."
