In an interview this morning, Real Oviedo midfielder Saúl Berjón discussed the last two days off, and the return to work. "You come with your batteries charged, ready to work, even though it is a little rare to have two days off. I'm doing the preseason training and I'm noticing it because last year I didn't do it, I also didn't train over Christmas. There's going to be another level of form, the level I played with in the Primera División, a better Saúl. I see a huge difference. I was conscious that I lacked certain things, and now I'm doing them", said the player.

Concerning Anquela , the Oviedo native said that "the coach has always been like this. His game is focused on the wingers, it's important to him that we get to the ball often and we center it, it's normal that he is breathing down our necks often, he emphasizes it with everyone but the wingers pay special attention. I am pleased, I want all of us to take chances, and that is what any winger would his coach to ask of him".

Regarding the youth academy players, Saúl commented that "the kids are making the most of it. I'm jealous of them because I never had that opportunity, and I know they're also adapting, and they're doing so very well. They are getting better each day, more relaxed and more confident".

With respect to how he sees the team in the first stretch of the preseason, Berjón commented that "we have played three games, winning two and drawing one. I think the team knows what they are doing, practicing a very attractive football while being realistic about our limits, and getting used to winning. There is competition on the flanks, the more players the better, we'll give it all and those who are the best will fight to play".
