Our defender Rodri Tarín appeared before the media in the Press Room at El Requexón this morning and discussed his feelings following the first three league matches of the season.
Tarín described his satisfaction with the work done by the team, while adding that they had deserved more from the Andorra match. "We are growing in each match and we still have a very big margin for improvement, which is the important thing."
Regarding the team's good start to the season, with six points from the first nine, the centre back highlighted that they are numbers "which speak very well about the team despite the difficulties. The injuries are not an excuse, and despite them we have been feeling good."
Monday will see Real Oviedo play their Matchday 4 fixture against recently-relegated Levante. The defender reasoned that "every match in this division is very difficult. It doesn't matter if it's a newly-relegated or newly-promoted team, but it is true that Levante has one of the best squads."
The Valencian centre back is not worried about the imminent close of the transfer market, saying that "we have a magnificent squad."
To close, Tarín highlighted Los Azules' defensive solidity, something which has been maintained from last season, and to which certain areas have been added, such as team pressing in the opposition's half.
