Rodri Tarín made his Real Oviedo debut at El Plantío yesterday, and did so with a clean sheet and a victory. "Clean sheets are very important to a defender, and I had been looking forward to making my debut. It was fantastic to do so with a win in front of 1,500 Oviedistas."
The centre back described how he felt he "grew as the match went on. I had a few doubts at the start with the change in formation, but I think we all improved as the match progressed to get the victory. It was very important, both for the three points given how other results went, and also for our morale. We have to value it properly and be very ambitious with ourselves."
Regarding the atmosphere in the changing room following the triumph, Tarín said that "we have to give this victory huge importance. We were up against an opponent in great form, at a ground where very few away teams have managed to win, and we have given ourselves the chance to dream."
Finally, regarding the next objective, the defender said that "now we have to turn it into an even better result by winning at home. We have to be very ambitious, very self-demanding, and only think about getting the win at the Tartiere on Saturday."
