Real Oviedo sealed a memorable comeback win this Tuesday, overcoming Valencia in a lively match at Mestalla. Two goals within a minute from Ilić and Rondón were enough to provide a first away triumph of the campaign.

The match couldn't have got off to a worse start for Los Carbayones. Barely three minutes had passed when Danjuma fired home a spectacular bicycle kick to open the scoring. Real Oviedo tried to settle down following the setback, but the early goal gave the hosts confidence and they even had the opportunity to double the lead from the penalty spot. However, Aarón Escandell stepped up to go the right way and deny the spot kick, keeping his team alive.

In the second half the Asturians stepped up a gear and had several chances to equalise, although the match didn't turn around until the final minutes. Paunovic turned to his bench and brought on Rondón and Ilic, and both players would prove crucial. In the 85th minute Ilic capitalised from a corner to level the scoring, before Rondón completed the comeback just sixty seconds later, sending the Oviedistas into raptures.

Real Oviedo fought hard to hold on to the lead during the closing minutes to pick up three vital points and a first away win of the season. Tonight's victory provides the team with a morale boost and shows the squad's character and ability to bounce back from setbacks.
