Real Oviedo Benjamín reach final round of the Spanish Championship

Oviedo’s sides achieved a clean sweep of victories in the previous round, held in Toledo

Having been crowned champion of their group, three points ahead of their nearest challenger, Sporting de Gijón, Real Oviedo Benjamín secured their passage to the final of the Spanish Championship, after taking part in the previous round in Toledo.

The side, managed by Saúl and Adrián ended their participation in the previous round of the Spanish Championship, held in Polideportivo Municipal de Segurilla, with a clean sweep of victories.

Real Oviedo Benjamín began their tournament with a comprehensive 10-2 triumph over San Lázaro, with goals coming through Romeo (2), Adri (2), Nico, Unai, Lucas and a Mauro hattrick.

Following this encounter, Los Azules took part in a mini-league, competing with three other sides for qualification for the semifinals. Real Oviedo Benjamín were part of a group including the Galician side O’Parrulo, San Lázaro from the Zamora region, and Talavera, the tournament hosts.

On Saturday morning, Oviedo won 9-1 against O’Parrulo, with Unai (3), Maru (2), Lucas (2), Romeo and Adri on the scoresheet. In the afternoon they would again face San Lázaro, with the score this time finishing 5-0, in favour of Real Oviedo. The goals were scored by Dani, Lucas, Nico, Mauro and Romeo on this occasion.

This morning, Real Oviedo faced their final clash against the hosts, Talavera. Real Oviedo secured a 3-1 win, with goals from Unai, Nico and Dani, ending their unbeaten campaign in this round of the Spanish Championship, and thus progressing to the final stage.

Real Oviedo Benjamín will seek the title of Champion of Spain in their category in the final stage of the championship, which will take place in Murcia.
