Real Oviedo midfielder, Ramón Folch, appeared in the Press Room this lunchtime following the team’s training session at El Requexón.

The Catalan began by evaluating the good feeling around the team, while reminding that, “we are still working as we were from the start, but now the results are going with it. It’s a reward for the work done, and now we need to pick up another three points this weekend.”

For the central midfielder, the team’s improvement lies in the fact that, “we are a bit more united and all together. We have no doubts about what the Coach is asking for now, and we are all working towards what he wants. Everyone has to help in defence, and then push forward together in attack.”

This collective effort was clear to see in Seville. Folch explained, “we all sacrifice ourselves in defence and we all help out. This is rewarded by the results we are getting.”

Next up is a visit from Cultural Leonesa. Folch described them as a team “with a lot of style, who play the ball out from the back. It will be difficult, but we will try to have the ball more than they do.

With respect to the team itself, Folch explained that, “we don’t look at form. We have to keep working as we have up until now; focusing only on the weekend’s game and winning it. Nothing else.” Talking about the high number of minutes he has featured in, the Catalan stated that, “all of the squad has shown we can perform well. I am happy with the confidence the Coach has shown in me.” Speaking more personally, Ramón Folch concluded by saying that he was, “very happy, because I am reaching objectives. I hope 2018 will be the same as the year we are about to leave behind.”
