Real Oviedo Vetusta faced UP Langreo in Matchday 7 of the Segunda RFEF this afternoon at El Requexón, with the sides going into the encounter level on points. The first half was an even affair, with the B team dominating the play at key moments but without creating too much danger in the opposition box.

Real Oviedo began the second half in a different fashion, taking the lead from a corner kick. It was Mario Fuente who managed to turn the ball home at the back post.

However, red cards would once again condition a match which Los Carbayones had seemingly had under control. Lucas Laso received a second yellow card for a foul in the 69th minute, meaning that Vetusta faced the final stage of the encounter with ten men. To add salt the wound, UP Langreo scored the equaliser from the set piece following the dismissal.

Despite the setbacks Real Oviedo Vetusta looked to fight back, and were close to getting all three points, but the attackers were unable to convert their chances. Jaime Álvarez was also dismissed in the final moments.

The points were shared today at El Requexón, as the B team gained another point in a league where every point is hard-fought and valuable.
