The Press Room at El Requexón this morning hosted the presentation of April's DIGI award to Pierre Cornud. The left back was clocked as being the fastest player of the month during the match against CD Leganés at the Carlos Tartiere, reaching a peak of 33.47km/h.
Following the presentation, the Frenchman joked about his battle with Joni Montiel for the award, with the midfielder getting within 0.1km/h of his top speed. "He probably doesn't even know it, but if everybody is running then it means that people are fully-engaged. The team is doing well. We have to keep this form going and keep training. We have to be ready for the weekend in Málaga."
Pierre's award is the second such prize given out this season by our main sponsor, DIGI, after Lucas Ahijado won it in March.
