The first signing of the summer, defender Pierre Cornud, was presented in the Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere this morning.

The footballer was accompanied by Club Vice President Manuel Paredes as he appeared before the media, having passed the necessary medical checks at Clínica Asturias.

Manuel Paredes welcomed the new signing, saying that "he's back at Real Oviedo and we want to give him a warm welcome back, and wish him a lot of luck. If things go well for him, that'll be good news for us."

The left back, meanwhile, declared his satisfaction at having returned, saying "I had a video call with (Director of Football) Rubén Reyes. He showed me the project, and I liked it. I know the club and what Rubén wants to do is interesting. I see it as a step forward in my career. I was in the B team here, and I am aware of the demands at this club. When you're at a club like this you always have responsibility. I'm willing to give everything and show my ability, so as to make a success of it in the first team."
