Real Oviedo's latest signing, goalkeeper Tomeu Nadal, was officially presented this lunchtime at the Carlos Tartiere.
Head of Institutional Relations César Martín began by welcoming him to the club and wishing him luck as he begins a new stage in his career. The keeper then moved on to respond to questions from the media, stating his "excitement" at forming part of the club's project. Tomeu Nadal explained that the negotiations were very simple on both sides, and explained that he was aware that he is arriving at "a very special club and city".
Having played several times at the Carlos Tartiere as an away player, the shot stopper recalled the "lasting memory" of the playoff match he played in Oviedo many years ago with Mallorca B. He is now hungry to join training, where he will work and compete with Joan Femenías for a starting place. He said that he has known his fellow keeper "all his life", and that they have been friends for a long time. He stated that he hoped there would be "very healthy competition" and that both would enjoy the day-to-day work.
