Latest Real Oviedo signing, Manu Vallejo, was presented this lunchtime in the Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere, accompanied by Roberto Suárez. The Director of Football highlighted that "he's a player who fits in perfectly with what we were looking for and he was one of our priorities. Thank you for believing in our club and we hope it's a great second half of the season."

 

The player, who made his debut on Saturday against Villarreal B, explained his motives for joining Los Carbayones. "The size of this club and the project were the keys to me coming here. I am coming here to help the team, I want to contribute."

 

The winger was asked about Álvaro Cervera, who he has now been reunited with. "The role of the Gaffer has been very important in me coming here. We know each other. I will look to reach the same level I was at the last time he coached me."

 

Finally, Vallejo wished to evaluate Real Oviedo's recent matches and send a message of encouragement, saying that "with a little bit more luck we could have won the Villarreal B match, because we had several opportunities. That was also the case against Huesca. If we win two or three in a row then things will look different."
