Real Oviedo Head Coach Álvaro Cervera appeared in the Press Room this Wednesday, speaking to the media ahead of the next league fixture, which will see the side face Málaga. "It is going to be a difficult match, because we are going to face a side which has just changed its coach. In addition, we are coming off the back of a defeat which hurt us because of the way it happened and the chances that we had."

 

The Gaffer was also asked about the transfer window and the club's latest signings. "The team was lacking pace and we have brought in Manu Vallejo, Raúl Moro, and Leo Sequeira in that area. We are better than we were a month ago."

 

Discussing on-field matters, Cervera highlighted that "in Huesca and against Villarreal B we had chances. The day will come that we score twice, and we will be able to have a more relaxed match. Players have come in now to help us change things."

 

The Gaffer concluded by talking about the situation and form of Borja Sánchez. "I'm not going to discuss the matchday squad for this match yet. He's a special player because he is very good, and we have to pick him when he can play at his best. I'm not going to take him until I have seen that he is completely right, because he's not a player you take to sit on the bench. He has to be an important player."
