Real Oviedo striker Samu Obeng appeared in the Press Room this morning, at the start of a new week's training at El Requexón.
Following the draw against Huesca, with the visitors coming back from a three-goal deficit, Samu Obeng believes that "it's difficult to accept it when you were 3-0 up, but matches last ninety minutes and we were up against a team that is up there. The other team is also trying to win the match and were forced to push forward. You get distracted by the scoreline and drop back. We didn't know how to manage the lead and that hurt us."
Asked whether the result will affect the team going into the upcoming matches, the forward reasoned that "it doesn't have to affect us in the future, these things happen in football. Now is the time to pick our heads up and keep going. It's true that we have slipped up. We had the opportunity to be close to the playoff places, but we only picked up a point. We have to turn it into a good point when we play Burgos."
With respect to his overhead kick goal against Huesca yesterday, Obeng highlighted that "the ball dropped to me in the area, and I tried something that all of us forwards have in the locker. It's not my most special goal, but it is one of the best ones."
Finally, asked whether the team needs more goals from Samuel Obeng in the remainder of the season, the Ghanaian stated that "I'm happy to have got back on the scoresheet, because I hadn't scored for a long time. The team needs goals from me and everyone else if we are going to get three points."
