Real Oviedo has reached an agreement with CD Tenerife to sign winger Nahuel on a loan deal running until 30th June 2021.
Matías Nahuel Leiva Esquivel is 23 years old and was born on 22nd November 1996 in Rosario, Argentina. He came through the youth teams at Villarreal CF, playing in the side's academy for several seasons, before signing his first-team contract in 2015/16. He moved to Real Betis in the 2016/17season, representing the Andalusians in ten first division matches. He later moved on loan to FC Barcelona B in the Segunda División. After his time at the Catalan side, the winger was transferred to Olympiakos, with whom he played in the top flight of Greek football. After moving back to Spain from Greece, Nahuel played for RC Deportivo de la Coruña and CD Tenerife, and he now joins Real Oviedo on loan from the latter.
Nahuel Leiva has played more than 100 matches in LaLiga, and eleven Europa League and Copa del Rey fixtures, as well as several international matches with Spain's youth teams.

Having passed the medical tests at Clínica Asturias, the official presentation of Nahuel Leiva as a new Real Oviedo player will take place online, from the Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere, from 13:30 tomorrow.
The player, who will join first-team training tomorrow, will not make any statements until the moment of his official presentation.
