Real Oviedo secured a victory of immense value at Balaídos after convincingly defeating Celta de Vigo in a match that was already being treated as a true final in the fight for survival.

The team led by Guillermo Almada took to the field with the determination the moment demanded, and they couldn't have had a better start. Barely a few moments had passed when Reina, very alert inside the box, capitalized on a rebound from the Celta goalkeeper to put the Blues ahead and ignite the excitement of the Oviedo fans.

The goal did not change the expected script. Celta reacted quickly, determined to restore parity as soon as possible, but they encountered an impenetrable wall in goal. Aarón Escandell delivered an outstanding performance, intervening with confidence and composure to thwart every local attempt and maintain the visitors' lead.

Far from settling, Real Oviedo managed to strike again before halftime. In a brilliant play, Ilyas Chaira delivered a precise cross from the right that found Fede Viñas, who connected with a spectacular shot to score a stunning goal and extend the lead on the scoreboard.

After the break, the Blues maintained their unyielding ambition. Without giving the opposition a chance to react, they delivered another decisive blow. Fede Viñas, once again the protagonist, successfully finished a great assist from Thiago Fernández to secure his brace and the third goal of the afternoon.

Celta, compelled by the situation, made substitutions and threw all their offensive resources into trying to close the gap. However, they came up against a solid, organized, and highly focused Real Oviedo defense, which managed to close all spaces and protect their goal until the final whistle.

A resounding and highly commendable victory for the Blues, who earned three vital points and secured their second consecutive win of the season. The team is now six points away from safety and faces two consecutive home games with renewed morale, restored confidence, and hope more alive than ever.
