Matej Pucko: Real Oviedo´s Newest Player

The Slovenian midfielder has signed on for two seasons and starts training this afternoon; he will be presented tomorrow in the Tartiere (13h)

Real Oviedo has come to an agreement to sign the services of Slovenian winger Matej Pucko for the next two seasons.

The 23-year old player was born 6 October, 1993 in Murska Sobota, Slovenia. After some time with NK Alumninji, he joined Koper, the team he comes to Real Oviedo from, after having been on loan for the 2015-16 season with Osasuna, where he scored 4 goals.

A U-21 Slovenian international, Pucko has total of 11 caps for his country and has played 31 games in the Segunda División in Spain, including the last league match of the season against Real Oviedo, where he started for the Osasuna side that qualified for the play-off's and was promoted to the Primera División.

Matej Pucko is a winger who generally plays on the right flank, although he can play in any attacking position. Among his highlighted skills as a player are his speed, work ethic, vertical movements, and his nose for the goal.

The midfielder will join the team at training immediately, since he has already undergone medical evaluation at the Clínica Asturias this morning. He will work under the direction of Juan Antonio Anquela in the afternoon session, so as to be ready when needed.
