This morning, Real Oviedo celebrated the 93rd anniversary of the club’s foundation a week early, with the presentation of a special, commemorative Adidas shirt, specially designed for the occasion. To mark the centenary of one of the founding clubs, Club Deportivo Oviedo, the light blue and white shirt was developed using materials of the highest quality, and bears the CDO badge. The shirt is limited edition, and each bears a unique number, from 1-1926. It bears many small details, such as the aforementioned numbers printed inside the collar, the badge of the founding club on the back, and the 19-20 logo on the sleeve. The shirt was unveiled this afternoon in an official presentation, which took place at MODOO, and was led by club director Fernando Corral, accompanied by Paula Rodríguez, directing officer of Asociación Galban. The First Team will wear the shirt during the warmup ahead of the UD Las Palmas match, which will take place at the Carlos Tartiere, and which will be the match where acts to mark the club’s 93rd anniversary take place. The shirts will be auctioned off, as in previous years, to raise money for Asociación Galban, to aid in its fight against children’s cancer.
In addition, starting tomorrow and lasting until next Tuesday, the club’s anniversary, there will be a pre-sale for fans that want to get the first numbers of the limited-edition, uniquely-numbered shirts. Adult sizes will be priced at 79,95€ and children’s 69,95€, with a 10% discount for season-ticket holders. The entire kit will also be available for purchase, including shorts and socks, and all shirts come with a special-edition anniversary black and gold box, as well as a certificate of authentication. The collection also includes a sweater and polo shirt, in the colours of CDO.
Those interested in purchasing can attend the pre-sale this Wednesday, 20th March in either one of our official stores, and the shirts will be available for sale to the public from next Tuesday, 26th March; the club’s 93rd anniversary.
