Real Oviedo midfielder Luismi today addressed the gathered media in the Press Room at El Requexón.
The Andalusian, who was unavailable in Lugo due to suspension, analysed the match at Anxo Carro, admitting that "it wasn't our best performance, they started very well. We knew that it was going to be difficult, but we got a point from it, which could be very important come the end of the season."
Asked about the team's ambitions of finishing in a playoff place, Luismi highlighted that "all of our minds are focused on Fuenlabrada. Thinking beyond that would mean that we are taking importance away from the match. We are only focused on getting the three points. We have the experience of the match against La Real B and know that league positions are irrelevant in this division. There are enough points still available for us to do anything, and we are going to fight until the final minute of the season. I don't know where we are going to finish, but we have to get three points against Fuenlabrada."
The fixture against Fuenlabrada will be used to mark the club's 96th anniversary. Regarding the event, the midfielder stated that "it's special because it's our anniversary, and it's important that our fans are with us. I hope it's a party atmosphere and that we can give the fans three points."
Finally, regarding his feelings on an individual level, Luismi admitted that "I found it hard to get up to speed, but now I'm enjoying game time and football. I am feeling more comfortable and have continuity. I'm doing better all the time."
