Real Oviedo and Luis Carrión have reached an agreement for the coach to return as the head coach of the first team on a contract which will run until the end of the current campaign.
Luis Miguel Carrión Delgado was born on 7th February 1979 in Barcelona. He previously managed Real Oviedo during the 2023/2024 season, leading the team through a fantastic season which ultimately ended in playoff final defeat. Having taken charge of UD Las Palmas in his last coaching role, and following time with Córdoba, Melilla, Numancia, and Cartagena, the coach now returns to Oviedo to manage Los Azules once more.
During this second spell, Carrión will be accompanied by assistant coach Mikel Rico and fitness coach Cristóbal Fuentes. They join a coaching staff already featuring goalkeeper coach Jesús Unanua and analyst Javier Benavides.
The coach will take charge of his first training session at 10:30 on Friday at El Requexón.
