As is the norm going into matches, the Coach began his press conference by analysing the current state of the squad. "There are a few players with knocks and we are waiting to see if they will make it. Luismi and Viti will be available. Santi (Cazorla) has a knock and we will see tomorrow. Romario (Ibarra) is into the final stages of his recovery, but Oier (Luengo) won't be back."

With a few days having now passed since the match against Real Zaragoza, the Catalan gave his assessment on that encounter. "It wasn't that I didn't like it, but I had the feeling that we could have won. We weren't quite able to make the right decisions with the final ball. It was an open match, but it's not that I wouldn't have wanted it to be."

Going into the match against Cartagena, a club which Luis Carri贸n knows well following his time as Head Coach there, he stated that "I am approaching it with the utmost respect. I have special affection for them and I know them well. They are doing things well and have improved quite a lot. It's a match like any other in Segunda; nobody beats anyone easily. It's nice for me to come up against Cartagena. I felt very loved there. I have friends at the club, in the city, and in the squad. I wish them the best, and they are going to move up the table, but we have to win tomorrow. That's what we are looking for and what we want."

With regards to possible changes to the formation, Luis Carri贸n commented that "we have options in the midfield, a lot of people can play there. We will work out what is best in order to win tomorrow. Up front we can play with two forwards. We have good players there, and they complement each other. If we play with two strikers we can hurt the opponent, and it is an option that we have."

Asked about the team's improvement, the Coach highlighted that "they have understood what I asked of them. I like the team to take risks and try to win every match. There are some matches in which I am happier with everyone's work, including my own, and other days not so much. We always look to get it right to get the three points, but I like the team's mentality of going out to win."

Finally, regarding the importance of playing two straight matches at the Carlos Tartiere, Luis Carri贸n highlighted that "these two weeks, with two home matches, are key. We have to get the six points, doing everything in the way that we know how to do it. We have Monday's match in our minds, and once that's over then we will look to get three points from the following fixture."
