Having now overcome his ankle injury and joined back up with first-team training, the defender evaluated how he is feeling about the minutes he has played so far. "I am feeling quite good, but it's still soon. I'm missing that something extra that playing matches gives you. I am still feeling some pain, but less and less. I am going to have to live with it."

Asked about his recovery period and how he has felt about not being able to help the team, Lucas admitted that "it's difficult, nobody likes it. It gets tough, and I was particularly limited in the first few weeks. Now I am enjoying being back with my teammates and I hope to be able to help the team. I've made myself available to the Gaffer, and I am ready to give it everything."

With respect to Oier Luengo's absence and his chances of earning a starting spot, the local lad highlighted that "nobody likes to come in because their teammate has got injured, and I hope he's back as soon as possible. He was doing a great job. We all want to play, start matches, and be important."

Regarding the next opponent, Cartagena, who come to the Carlos Tartiere bottom of the table, Lucas believes that "it is deceptive, they have their strengths. In Segunda anyone can beat you, and you have to be switched on and focused. The three points are always important. We want to make the fans happy and show them that we want to be up there."

Finally, asked about his team's fine defensive work, the full back reasoned that "we all defend, we all help with that work. We are doing well in that area, and we are grateful that even the forwards work hard to defend."
