Real Oviedo full back Juanjo Nieto appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today as the first team returned to training.
Following yesterday's draw against Logroñés, the defender admitted that "we were missing that goal to give us the win, but the team never gives up. It's true that we drew a match we could have won, but we know what we want. We are ambitious, but we have to show it on the pitch. We need aggression up front, fewer mistakes at the back, and to be ambitious."
With respect to the key to getting back to winning ways, Juanjo believes that "it's time to keep training as we have been doing. Our training sessions are a 10/10 every day. We have to show what we have been working on in the matches by making chances and scoring them. There are teams up there who are winning without playing well, but we are finding that hard. We have to train one day at a time and show what we can do."
Finally, regarding a possible contract renewal with Real Oviedo, the defender highlighted that "we are in contact, but the club is focusing on the transfer window. I am happy here, I feel good, and everybody believes in me. We will sit down and see what happens. I owe maximum respect to Real Oviedo. I have to focus on playing, performing out there on the pitch, and then we will make a decision."
