The Press Room at El Requexón today saw Borja Valle respond to the questions put to him by members of the media, ahead of the first team's return to training.
With a few weeks having now passed since his arrival, and having got some game time with Ziganda's side, Borja discussed how he is settling in during this second spell at the club, saying "I feel good. It's true that I was in a situation at Dinamo which saw me at a standstill, but I am fine, I feel at 90%. These weeks have been intense and positive. I am here to help. I've come in to do my part, be it from the bench or as a starter, and I want to make the most of the minutes I get."
With regard to his feelings upon playing as the main attacker, he commented that "that's where I've played most in recent years. I have no problems playing as the main striker, as a centre forward, or on the wing. I can contribute and help."
Regarding the team and the remainder of the season, Borja Valle believes that "we are at a key moment. This month will tell us what we are going to fight for. It's important that we don't concede and that we are rock-solid. It's important to be a team that is loyal to a philosophy, with intensity and clear ideas. We need to be clinical in front of goal."
Asked about competition for places, the winger reasoned that "Real Oviedo is a big club with good footballers. The more players and people available, the better for all of us."
Ahead of the weekend's match against Albacete and a weekend likely to bring difficult weather and pitch conditions, Borja argued that "we know what the NMR Carlos Tartiere is like, we know it. It's not an excuse and we will adapt. We came from behind against Mallorca and we showed determination and commitment. The pitch doesn't matter. We have to get points."
Finally, regarding Real Oviedo's aspirations for the season, Borja concluded by saying "it's good that the squad is thinking about reaching the playoffs. Thinking about relegation would be counterproductive. I'm thinking about winning the next game and then we will see what happens."
