Real Oviedo Head Coach Jon Pérez Bolo appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón this morning, ahead of this weekend's fixture against Real Zaragoza.
As is the norm before each match, the Head Coach began the press appearance by analysing the condition of his players going into the match at La Romareda. "Luismi is in perfect condition. He came off because he had a knock to the knee, and it was a precaution. It looks like Miguel (Llambrich) won't be available, but we will see how it develops." In addition, discussing the mood within the camp, Bolo commented that "it's normal that the squad was feeling low after the defeat, but life and football is about getting back up and keeping going. I see them working, I am confident, and we are going to keep fighting for the victory. We need it. They are hungry for the match to arrive; it's the way to forget about the last match."
Ahead of this weekend's encounter, the Gaffer stated that "I don't know what the situation is at Real Zaragoza. I am only thinking about my side, about us feeling good, and going into it in the best way possible. We are looking for the victory and I am sure that it is going to arrive soon. We have to go there with confidence and believe in ourselves. I am working day and night for us to be at our best and always give 100%. We haven't been having the luck we need to work with the whole squad at the same time, but there is no point in looking for excuses, only solutions. I am not setting timeframes because you can't change everything from one day to the next. I am looking to get the team playing, and I hope it starts going faster than it has been so far."
Finally, asked about his feelings on a personal level, Jon Pérez Bolo highlighted that "I am strong. I have been in football for a long time and I have never been gifted anything. It is all about work and giving everyone confidence, but especially the players.. I am looking for solutions. I am worried we haven't got it right so far, but there is other option but to keep pushing forward. Everything comes through work and humility, there's no other option. I am feeling strong and optimistic. I am aware of the situation, but we are going to get it right and change things. We believe in our way of working and it is the same as it was the first day. You get a negative result and it seems as if you haven't been working, but that isn't the case."
