Real Oviedo arrived at La Romareda to face Real Zaragoza with both teams in need of three points on an extremely hot afternoon. Los Azules went into the encounter in the third kit, and with several changes to the starting eleven.

Tarín moved to right back, Costas and Luengo partnered one another at centre back, while Pomares remained at left back. Luismi and Montoro were the central midfield pairing, with Viti and Abel Bretones on the wings, while Javi Mier played off of Bastón. Zaragoza opened the scoring through Iván less than three minutes into the encounter, setting Los Azules back. As the minutes passed Real Oviedo began to recover their composure, and the side started to threaten in attack. Borja Bastón had a very good opportunity which he clipped over Cristian Álvarez but off target. A Javi Mier goal was disallowed due to Bretones being offside, before Bastón had another chance. However, the two teams went in for halftime with the score 1-0.

The second half began with a defensive substitution. Lucas came on for Costas, with Tarín moving in to centre back. The equalising goal arrived shortly afterwards. Bastón flicked on, and Montoro was on hand to head home the leveller. A heavy challenge forced Javi Mier off the pitch, with the Asturian replaced by Hugo Rama. Los Carbayones created a couple more chances. A ball in from Lucas found Bastón in the heart of the box, but the forward's control let him down, while another effort went just wide of the post. Obeng, Sangalli, and Jimmy came on to freshen the side up. Los Azules had a few more opportunities, although Tomeu Nadal also had to make some important interventions. In the end, Real Oviedo were able to pick up a point. There will be no break for the side, as they begin preparations tomorrow for Wednesday's fixture against Huesca at the Tartiere.
