Real Oviedo full back, Diegui Johannesson, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón following today’s regenerative training session.

Following the victory at the Carlos Tartiere, the Asturian commented that “it’s different when you go into a week after a triumph. I think that getting those three points will be important for the future. Albacete are
a great team, but we didn’t concede. We put everything we’d worked on all week into practice and we are very happy.”

Asked about the change in formation, the right back said that, “this formation benefits both me and Mossa because we have freedom to attack. The Gaffer asks us to get into the box, run and defend.” In addition, Diegui highlighted that, “knowing that I have Forlín behind me in this formation relaxes me,” while also reasoning that “if we go out there with intensity the formation doesn’t matter. If we compete we’ll win matches.”

Finally, regarding the differences between the Elche match and yesterday’s against Albacete, Johannesson said that, “the way we started the match was completely different. Yesterday’s match was summed up by our play and the feelings around the team,” he concluded.
