Real Oviedo midfielder spoke to the media as the club delivered presents to the Children's Ward at HUCA Hospital.
Following the Mallorca match, the local lad said that "it was a point gained, even if we had wanted to start the year with three points. It's not what we were looking for, but it gives us confidence in terms of our performance." In addition, regarding the team's showing as they came from behind to draw, Jimmy reasoned that "it gives us confidence but it mustn't become the norm. We have to watch the minor details so that we don't lose more points."
Asked about the importance of the squad in the league, the midfielder highlighted that "we are training at an incredible level and you can see that reflected in the matches. We are going to give it everything for the team. We have a great group and you can tell."
Discussing his return to the starting eleven and the role he played alongside Javi Mier in the centre of the park, the Asturian commented that "I've not had a lot of opportunities this year, but I knew that I had to be at my best. I am happy. I've been playing with Javi for years and I was really happy with his performance too."
Ahead of a week which will see Real Oviedo face Málaga twice away from home, in the cup and in LaLiga, the youth-team product stated that "it's an unsual week, with two difficult fixtures. We are going to try to get through in the cup and get the three points in the league."
Finally, asked how he is approaching the January transfer window, Jimmy highlighted that "I feel calm. It's not up to me. I give everything to stay at Real Oviedo, and this is where I want to be. I give it everything on the pitch and whatever has to happen will happen."
