Real Oviedo faced Eibar at Ipurúa this afternoon, in Matchday 20 in LaLiga SmartBank, with a starting eleven made up of: Braat, Dani Calvo, Rodri, Lucas, Abel Bretones, Luismi, Jimmy, Hugo Rama, Marcelo, Sergi Enrich and Borja Bastón.
Álvaro Cervera's players pressed high up the pitch during the majority of the opening 45 minutes, and would miss a good opportunity in the 16th minute. Marcelo tricked his way past the defender on the left wing, before playing a pass across the goal-line where nobody was able to apply the finishing touch. The move ended with Borja Bastón heading just over the top of the bar.
Real Oviedo managed to deal with Eibar's attacks during the first half, with Braat making a good intervention in the 35th minute to keep out the best opportunity for the hosts. Halftime arrived with no added time, due to the few interruptions seen during the first 45 minutes.
The second half got underway with a dangerous opportunity for Los Carbayones. After the team won the ball back in midfield, Jimmy drove forward with the ball and there was momentarily a 3v3. Borja Bastón's effort was blocked by an Eibar defender, and Hugo Rama was unable to convert from the rebound.
