On a day like today, February 10, in the year 1935, Isidro Lángara set the record of ten goals in three consecutive First Division matches, which he achieved in games where Real Oviedo faced Atlético de Madrid, Valencia, and Espanyol of Barcelona.

No one before had achieved such a feat in the top tier of Spanish football, and no one has since surpassed or even equaled it. The Real Oviedo forward is the only footballer to have accomplished this in the 95 editions of the National League Championship held to date.

On January 27, 1935, during the ninth league matchday of the 1934-35 season, in which Real Oviedo faced Atlético de Madrid at the Metropolitano Stadium, Lángara scored three goals. The match ended with a 3-3 result.

A week later, on the tenth matchday, held on February 3, 1935, Real Oviedo won 0-4 against Valencia at Mestalla, and three of the goals were scored by Lángara.

After two away matches, on the eleventh matchday, held on February 10, 1935, Real Oviedo played at home, at the Stadium of Buenavista, against Espanyol of Barcelona. The Asturian team won with a score of 8-3, and half of the home team's goals were scored by their center forward, Lángara.

Isidro Lángara was the top scorer of the First Division that season, just as he had been the previous season and would be again in the following campaign.

Among the various records set by the great Real Oviedo forward, which no one has yet surpassed or equaled, the most notable is the best goal-scoring average in the First Division: 1.17 goals per game.

Lángara is considered by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) the best Spanish scorer in history.
