This morning, the press room at Carlos Tartiere was the site of the official presentation of Ibrahima Baldé as a new player for Real Oviedo.

The striker was accompanied by César Martín, who welcomed him and thanked him for his willingness to wear Real Oviedo blue, highlighting that, “He’s a forward with a good build, he’s powerful and fast. We wish him the best of luck.”

For his part, Ibrahima Baldé started by “thanking the club for the signing,” stating that, “I’m very happy about Real Oviedo’s and Ángel’s efforts to sign me. I’m excited, I never doubted it.”

After his first training session with the team, the Senegalese player stated that, “I’ve gotten along well with my teammates. There are good people here, it’s a great group. They’re all very close and that’s really important. I’m all in and ready to work.” In addition, regarding Juan Antonio Anquela, the forward stated that, “I see character and strong desire in him. I think we’re going to connect really well.”

Referring to the different options that he had, the striker commented that, “I had the opportunity to go to other clubs, but I didn’t really consider it. I want to enjoy football again, reach my potential.”

When asked about the Segunda División, the Senegalese pointed out that, “I’ve played in this division, it’s competitive. We need to be ready for whatever comes.”

Finally, regarding how he defines himself as a player, Ibrahima said, “I’m a dedicated player who likes to win. I’m going to leave it all on the pitch, that’s what I’m like. I’m the type to be there near the goal, to score, but I’m here to help the team,” the Senegalese player concluded.
