Ziganda opted to rotate his side, making several changes to his starting eleven, and aiming to make the most of the hunger and willingness of his squad members and to give some rest to other players. Real Oviedo had more chances to open the scoring during the first half. Los Azules were solid in defence and tried to create danger and threaten the visitors' goal. The best opportunity of the half was a Lolo header from a Mossa cross, but he was denied by the keeper. After the interval, Real Oviedo attempted to take control of the play and open gaps in the Fuenlabrada defence. Luismi curled one attempt just wide from the edge of the penalty box. In the final stages, Ziganda turned to his bench to freshen up the attack, and Real Oviedo kept trying, but were unsuccessful in breaking the deadlock.
There is no rest for Los Azules, who have another important match this Sunday, when they face Numancia.
